Immediate Opening for Dog Control Officer
The Town of Pittsfield is looking to fill the position of Dog Control Officer (DCO). The DCO is responsible for upholding dog regulations and complaints within the Town of Pittsfield. The DCO will be responsible for maintaining records as required by New York State and will enforce the provisions of the New York Agriculture and Markets Law pertaining to dog control as well as provide reports to the Town Supervisor and Town Board. The successful candidate must possess a valid New York State Driver’s license and provide own transportation, must be at least 18 years of age. This position is considered part-time, as needed, and always on-call.
