The Town of Pittsfield is a mix of hamlets and small communities that coexist along the western border of Otsego County, the southern tip of New York's picturesque Mohawk Valley Region. Otsego County Launches Ambulance Service Pilot Program
COOPERSTOWN, NY (WSKG)|Nov 16, 2021 — Otsego County recently unveiled its new ambulance service. The county is using federal stimulus funding from the American Rescue Plan to pay for the pilot program.
The new program will employ 20 EMTs and two ambulances that are equipped with the latest technology. This endeavor is meant to support a network of volunteer services across the county where the average amount of time to get to a hospital can be as long as 2 hours and 3 minutes according to the 911 Director. A Roadmap for Success
The Town of Pittsfield unveiled a blueprint for the creation of a comprehensive plan. This plan will allow Pittsfield to effectively develop in a way that protects valued resources, defines growth paths and fosters a distinctive sense of place through a partnership of its residents and local government. It will be a living, dynamic guide to use when making decisions about the growth and development of Pittsfield ensuring a strong, vibrant and enduring community.

Town-Wide Reassessment Project
The Town of Pittsfield, has accepted a proposal from Emminger, Newton, Pigeon & Magyar, Inc. to provide professional assessment evaluation services as part of a town-wide reassessment project, to be completed for the 2024 roll year.

Road Work & Driving Safely
Some of you have undoubtedly noticing the road and culvert improvements made by our Highway Department. The roads are uniform, smooth and a comfortable ride. So, it's easy to drive a bit too fast without realizing it. Please drive with reasonable speed and care to protect our residents, their children and their livestock. You also protect yourself. Remember too, that our highway workers are always out there and deserve courtesy and a safe environment.
The Town currently has vacancy's on the Board of Assessment Review and the Planning Board. If you have an interest in participating in our Town Government, please contact the Town Clerk.
